Our Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month 2016 fundraiser was a huge success!!  Thank you to all of our attendees, volunteers, sponsors and donors, without whom, this event could not succeed.

Our guest speaker, Eric Kmiec, Ph.D. gave an enlightening talk on DNA editing that someday may enable doctors to re-write our DNA to eliminate diseases like ovarian cancer.  The research currently being done in this area is very promising, and DOCF is delighted to be a part of it.  

Dr. Kmiec is the Director of the Gene Editing Institute at the
Helen F. Graham Cancer Center & Research Institute.

Attendees this year were entertained with another superb, uplifting musical performance by  The Imagination Players.  This group of energetic, talented young people was a spectacular addition to our fundraiser.  All were smiling as they watched and listened to there outstanding performance.
