Turn the Towns Teal

Lori's Hands, helping spread awareness!

Sally Oberle and a number of DOCF volunteers make bows each year in September, using special Turn the Towns Teal ribbon.  In 2016, 775 bows were made and hung in the state of Delaware!

In 2016, the bows were placed in Delaware City, Dover, Georgetown, Lewes, Middletown, Milton (limited to festival time), Newark, New Castle, Smyrna, Wilmington (Riverfront).

Sally Oberle and Carol Mesmer, making bows, bows, and more bows.

We also extend our Sincere Thanks to the Delaware 87ers staff, who have been helping make bows and place them along the Riverfront since 2014, Lori's Hands (University of Delaware), who have helped Teal-up Newark since 2014, and Mayor Christiansen and all the Dover volunteers who aided us in placing bows in our State Capitol since 2014.

Many More Thanks to Sally Oberle who has expanded our participation in this National Campaign from year to year.

We always can use more volunteers for this awareness campaign, as we expand to more towns each year...please contact us if you want to help.
